Commercial
Commercial landscaping, Sunshine Coast
One licensed contract covering the ground, the drainage and everything built on top of it.
Commercial landscaping on the Sunshine Coast fails for a different reason to residential work: not taste, but coordination.
On a commercial site the landscape scope is usually split. Earthworks sit with the civil contractor, drainage sits with the plumber, paving sits with a concreter, planting sits with a maintenance firm, and the irrigation is somebody’s assumption. Every one of those boundaries is a place where responsibility can be handed on, and the joints are where commercial landscapes come apart.
We take the whole scope. Design, earthworks, drainage, retaining, hard landscaping, planting and irrigation are delivered by one QBCC-licensed entity, Queensland Landscape & Drainage Group Pty Limited, holding QBCC 15282728. One contract, one programme, one party accountable for whether the site still works in three years.
Who we build for
Sectors
Commercial work is not one market. A venue courtyard, a developer landscape package and a strata common area are three different problems with three different approval processes.
Hospitality and venues
Beer gardens, courtyards and outdoor dining that have to survive constant use and still feel considered on a Saturday night. Durability, circulation and cleaning access are designed in, because a venue outdoor space that cannot be maintained stops looking new within a season.
Developers and builders
Landscape packages for residential and mixed-use projects, delivered against a construction programme. One contract covering earthworks, drainage, retaining, paving, planting and irrigation, so the landscape scope is not split across four subcontractors and a gap.
Body corporate and common property
Common-area upgrades, entry statements, pool surrounds and drainage remediation for strata schemes. Documented scope and a fixed price, which is what a committee needs in order to actually approve the work.
Commercial and industrial sites
Entry landscaping, carpark surrounds, screening and stormwater-adjacent works for working sites, specified so maintenance is realistic rather than aspirational.

Commercial projects
Yandina beer garden
A commercial outdoor destination built for constant use, with shade, structure and atmosphere that hold up under genuine trading loads.

Diddillibah, concept to canopy
A working nursery reshaped into a clearer, more welcoming destination while respecting the practical demands of a commercial site.

Built for people who have to answer for it
One contract, one licence
Design, earthworks, drainage, retaining, hard landscaping, planting and irrigation delivered by one QBCC-licensed entity, so there is no gap between trades to argue about later.
Priced from documentation
We price from drawings and a site inspection, and we state what is excluded. A commercial scope with vague inclusions becomes a variation schedule.
Built to a programme
Landscape is usually the last trade on site and absorbs everyone else’s delays. We plan for that rather than discovering it.
Maintenance considered at design
Species, irrigation and access are chosen against who will actually maintain the site, and how often.
Common questions
Commercial work, answered
Do you take on commercial landscaping contracts on the Sunshine Coast?
Yes. We deliver commercial landscape construction across the Sunshine Coast and Southeast Queensland, including hospitality venues, developer landscape packages, body corporate common property and commercial site landscaping. The work is delivered by Queensland Landscape & Drainage Group Pty Limited under QBCC 15282728.
Can you work to our construction programme?
Yes, and we plan for the reality of it. Landscape is typically the final trade on site, which means it inherits the accumulated delays of every trade before it. We build that into the programme and communicate weekly, rather than treating the original date as fixed and then missing it.
Do you price from drawings or from a site visit?
Both. Drawings tell us the scope; the site tells us what it will actually take to build. Access, soil, levels and existing services are the variables that move a commercial landscape number, and none of them are reliably visible on a plan.
Can you provide documentation for a body corporate committee?
Yes. Strata work usually needs a documented scope, a fixed price and clear exclusions before a committee can approve it. That is how we quote anyway, so it suits the approval process rather than fighting it.
Do you handle the earthworks and drainage, or just the planting?
All of it. Our registered entity is Queensland Landscape & Drainage Group Pty Limited, and drainage and earthworks are core work rather than something we subcontract and hope about. On commercial sites, the drainage is usually the part that determines whether the landscape survives.
Tendering, or scoping a package?
Send us the drawings
We will review the landscape scope against the site, tell you what is missing from it, and price it with the exclusions stated. If it is not a fit, we will say so early.
